ford focus st 56 plate. warnings on dash: engine systems fault, acceleration reduced, steering assist failure. when i stop engine , immobiliser comes on then non start. disconnect dash with ign. on. reconnect after 5 mins, engine starts & runs app. 15 mins then same occurs. fitted new dash & reprogramed from old dash.
5 October 2020 at 5:32PM. On the way to work this morning the engine management light on my 2014 64-plate Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI came on, no warning beeps or anything, just the light came on. I carried on to work as there didn't appear to be anything different with the way the car was driving.
Hi, I got an engine system fault error pop up on the instrument cluster with the red light about 2 weeks ago and it went into limp mode. I took it to kwik fit and their Bosch reader couldn't find any error codes. The error went away on its own and I was back out of limp mode. But the error is back!

The cluster is normal, all the lights light up when turn the ignition on, a red light is flashing between the temp guage and fuel guage, cluster display shows black blocks then goes normal then bonnet open and engine system fault is displayed, I think it could have something to do with the earth wire, may have it in the wrong place.
