Today I noticed when putting it into drive a couple of times it didnt pull away immediatly as I pressed the accelarator, but gave a bit of a jolt then she would pull away. Was out with the family this afternoon, reversed out This problem has been ongoing in the Disco 3's for a long time now and hundreds of people are complaining about the exact same fault. I called Land Rover S.A Customer care on 0860 110 090 and spoke with Amanda there and laid my complaint regarding Land Rover replacing my actuator as a recall item. I have a problem with a 300tdi automatic gearbox i bought off a user on here a few years ago. I bought it as a working box, and it's been in storage until today when we fitted it. And we have no drive at all. It doesn't seem to be pumping any oil. This repair kit consists of a Genuine replacement lever link and a replacement bush for the cable. This is a fairly easy DIY job. Make sure to mark the cable shaft before removing the old one so you can reassemble in the same position. Quality replacement parts, equivalent to Land Rover part numbers: LR012704 & TZT500040. Suitable for the First of all, probably not much is wrong. You are not looking at a new $10,000 transmission regardless of what anyone says. This by the way is the standard fix/response at most Mercedes dealers and not always at Land Rover dealers. If you have more than say 80,000 miles on your LR3, probably you could consider a transmission oil and filter change. Forum Rules. I need some help with a vibration problem that has occurred on my Disco3 tdv6; I started to notice a strong vibration on the freeway and thought that it might have been a brake binding on as there was a hot brake smell coming from one of the rear wheels. I took it into a local Landy independent, who ruled out the brake idea. You havent said what engine you had but I am going to guess 300tdi. The kickdown cable should be attached to the arm on the injection pump and the adjuster should be clear. The throttle cable will be visible as the cable that goes to a place beside the brake booster. The transmission cable disappears down to the left hand side of the transmission. rhTC.
